Rose Theater Presents THE SOUND OF MUSIC, 6/3-6/19

By:

The Rose Theater will conclude its 2010-2011 season with Rodgers & Hammerstein's The Sound of Music, playing from June 3 - June 19.

With songs such as "Edelweiss" and "Do-Re-Mi," this final collaboration of Rodgers and Hammerstein was destined to become the world's most beloved musical! When Maria is dispatched from the convent to serve as governess to the seven children of the Von Trapp family, her arrival is met with resistance. But, Maria's soaring spirit and love for music is a winning combination that helps the family to unite as they face the threat of a Nazi occupied Austria.

Music by Richard Rodgers • Lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II • Book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse • Suggested by "The Story of the Trapp Family Singers" • Presented through special arrangement with R&H Theatricals: www.rnh.com.

The Sound of Music will perform Thurs. - Fri. at 7pm and Sat. - Sun. at 2pm. Tickets for Rose Theater members are $20 and non-member tickets are $25. Purchase tickets by calling (402) 345-4849 and by visiting www.rosetheater.org. The Rose Theater is located at 2001 Farnam St.
