Pollard Theatre Extends PASSING STRANGE Thru July 9

By: Jun. 29, 2011

Passing Strange features a book and lyrics by Stew, Music by Stew and Heidi Rodewald, Created in collaboration with Annie Dorsen

Held Over through July 9!

In an unprecedented move, the Pollard Theatre is extending Passing Strange an additional two weeks!

Critics have begun singing the praises of Pollard Theatre's performance of Passing Strange. Adjectives like "outstanding," "delightful" and "engaging" only begin to explain why this musical has become a break-out hit.

The Gazette's Larry Laneer declared, "if Passing Strange does not get Best Musical, this will be one heck of a year for musicals."

The "sure-handed" direction of Timothy Stewart, "crackling" choreography from Christopher Castleberry and Stew's highly acclaimed musical score form this show into more than just a youth's story of self-discovery.

Laneer explained that the "energetic performances from the cast boost the quality of the play to an extraordinary level."

Passing Strange is the semi-autobiographical story of a young man who leaves behind middle-class life to travel across Europe in a personal search for "the real."

Passing Strange is running now through Saturday, July 9, 2011. Tickets range in price from $15.00-25.00 and can be purchased online at www.thepollard.org or by calling (405) 282-2800, 10 am to 5 pm Tue - Sat.
