The NYC Indie Theatre Film Festival returns in 2024, showcasing independent theatre artists venturing into film and digital media. The festival will feature feature-length and short films, filmmaker Q&As, and panels with industry professionals. All-access passes and individual tickets will be available for purchase. Stay tuned for the full schedule announcement in January.
The Mill Theatre and Theaterlab present a workshop production of Come Here to Me, a new play by Dianne Nora and directed by Jaclyn Biskup. Performances begin November 1st, running through November 5th.
After 30 years as an indispensable pillar of the downtown independent theatre community, New Ohio Theatre will conclude operations at 154 Christopher Street at the end of the current season on August 31, 2023.
Leviathan Lab, a creative studio for Asian American Pacific Islander theatre artists, will present a nine-show, work-in-progress production run of LEARNING HOW TO READ BY MOONLIGHT, a new play by Gaven Trinidad (Rising Leader of Color, Theatre Communications Group), and directed by Mauricio Tafur Salgado (Co-Founder, Arts Ignite; Core Faculty, artEquity) and Maria Camia (THE HEALING SHIPMENT, Jumpstart Festival, La Mama ETC).

New Ohio Theatre's NYC Indie Theatre Film Festival (NYCITFF), now in its 7th year, has announced the in-person screening schedule for their 2023 film festival. This year's festival will be a hybrid of in-person and online film screenings and will present work from independent theatre artists that are defying labels and branching out into digital media and film.
