At a time of national reckoning, this annual celebration brings together special guests, and artists from across our drama and music schools, in an evening exploring protest, democracy and the activism and art that sustains us through our darkest times. This year’s event features: Stew Stewart Obediah Wright’s Balance Dance Theatre The New School Afro-Cuban Jazz Orchestra, conducted by Bobby Sanabria Earth, Wind & Fire Ensemble Charlotte Small and her Gospel Chorus and more!... *Special guest to be announced at the event Past celebrations have included performances by Arturo O’Farrill, Cyrus Chestnut, a tribute to Reggie Workman, Dr. Cornel West, Dr. Johnnetta B.
