Juliet Ewing celebrates the music of George Gershwin and her recently released album, Simply ’S Wonderful, The Magic of Gershwin. Directed by Lina Koutrakos, with musical director Ron Drotos on piano, Michael O’Brien on bass, and Eric Halvorson on drums, Ewing performs songs from the album and from her celebrated cabaret show Rise Up Singing - The Music of George Gershwin. Of Rise Up Singing, Cabaret Scenes said, “There was…the golden voice and fine dramatic skill of diva Juliet Ewing…and moments that come rarely in cabaret and make attending all shows worthwhile. Bravo.” Ewing’s album Simply ’S Wonderful, The Magic of Gershwin, released Friday, September 12, draws on her experience of performing Gershwin on Broadway and in international tours, creating an album of jazz-infused George Gershwin tunes, including “Embraceable You,” "The Man I Love,” “‘S Wonderful” and hidden gems like “Naughty Baby” and “The Lorelei.” Arrangements range from swing and bossa nova to dramatic, lush ballads and an ethereal version of the classic “Summertime.” Of the album, Jazz2love says, "Her voice resonates passion and refinement, reminding audiences of old-school swing delivered with a contemporary perspective” Simply 'S Wonderful, The Magic of Gershwin FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 7 at 7:00 PM (doors open 6:00 PM) Juliet Ewing - Vocals Ron Drotos - Musical Director/Arranger/Piano Michael O’Brien - Bass Eric Halvorson - Drums Director - Lina Koutrakos Chelsea Table + Stage Hilton Fashion District Hotel 152 W 26th Street New York, NY 10001 $29-$40 cover (including fees) + $25 food & beverage minimum per person Reservations: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/simply-s-wonderful-the-magic-of-gershwin-album-release-tickets-1622751747159
