Spotlight Theatre Company Presents Jesus Christ Superstar This April
Staten Island, NY — Spotlight Theatre Company presents the iconic rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar, with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice, this April.
Told through an electrifying score, the musical explores the final days of Jesus through the eyes of those closest to him. This groundbreaking musical has become one of the most celebrated rock operas in theatre history.
This production stars Jason Steven Kopp as Jesus, Oliver Callahan as Judas Iscariot, Monica Ugarte as Mary Magdalene, and Alexander Kong as Pontius Pilate. The cast also features George Anthony Papas as King Herod, Albert Pica as Caiaphas, Mikey Miller as Annas, Samantha Chiodo as Simon Zealotes, and Jonathan Hallowell as Peter, supported by a full ensemble of performers from across Staten Island and the New York theatre community.
Performances take place April 10, 11, 17, and 18 at 7 PM, with matinees April 12 and 19 at 3 PM.
