Spotlight Theatre Company Presents “Baby” at The Staten Island Playhouse – A Funny, Heartfelt Musical About the Joys and Challenges of Parenthood

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Spotlight Theatre Company proudly presents the beloved musical “Baby” by David Shire and Richard Maltby, Jr. This production follows three couples at different stages of life as they navigate the highs and lows of impending parenthood. From unexpected pregnancies to the struggles of infertility, “Baby” explores the universal joys, fears, and dreams of starting a family.

Join us at The Staten Island Playhouse, located at Empire Outlets, 55 Richmond Terrace, Staten Island, NY, for this heartwarming theatrical experience. The show runs from Thursday, April 24 through Sunday, April 27. Evening performances begin at 7:00 PM, with a Sunday matinee at 3:00 PM.

“Baby” captures the raw emotions of expecting parents, blending humor, heartbreak, and hope through its moving score and relatable characters. Portraying these characters in this production is a talented cast of local and NYC-based artists, including both returning Spotlight performers and exciting new faces: Monica Ugarte, Anna Barrett, Zack Pascarello, Joshua Piper, Meggan Audrey, Ireland Fernandez-Cosgrove, Kristi Sorkin, Randy Topper, Layla Valenzuela, Franca Rosenblatt, and Micaela O'Rourke. 

The production is led by an experienced creative team: Director - Jacques Stewart, Producing Director - Mary Lee Aloia, Music Director - David John Madore, Choreographer - Meggan Herod, Stage Manager - Haley Vogel, and Dramaturg - Randy Topper.
