Theatre at St. John's (81 Christopher Street, Manhattan) and Daniel Neiden Productions present a special PRIDE MONTH production of a new play by Mark Erson. INSISTED LIVING, directed by Daniel Neiden. Following last year's successful run of Erson's Marc in Venice, this year's production puts celebrated Village theatre icon, Everett Quinton, in the spotlight.
Quinton, well-known for his work with Charles Ludlum and the Ridiculous Theatre Company, was one of the inspirations for Erson’s latest comedy. “Everett raises playing female characters to an art form,” says Erson. “It’s not just so much camp. And he is a wonderful comedic actor in male roles as well. I wanted to create an evening of theatre in which the audience could experience both sides of Everett Quinton.”
In two related one-act plays, INSISTED LIVING takes a comedic look at the very timely issue of care giving, and the challenges that families and lovers are facing as people are living longer. INSISTED LIVING stars Tony nominatedLou Liberatore* (As Is; Burn This (Tony Nominee)); and Drama League and Obie Award Winner, Everett Quinton*(Bitch Slapped by God; Murder at Minsign Manor (Drama League Award); A Tale of Two Cities (Obie Award)). Rounding out the cast are Anita Lento*(Marc in Venice; Email: 9/12); Nancy Lindeberg*(Marc in Venice; Nightshift Collection); and Andres Robledo*(The Conjure). Stage management/Production Supervisor by Robert Neapolitan.* Directed by Daniel Neiden.
