Join author Sam Sussman and Cantor Dan Singer as they sit down to reflect on Sussman's novel — and the unexpected ways Bob Dylan connects their stories.
At the heart of the novel "Boy from the North Country," Sussman — a “boy from the North Country” of New York — tells the deeply moving story of his relationship with his mother, who died of cancer, and the surprising connection to Bob Dylan that emerges from her past.
Cantor Singer — from Dylan’s “North Country” of Duluth-Superior —will bring his own perspective, having discovered his own family connection to Dylan through his father, who also died from cancer.
In a novel twist on the typical interview format, Cantor Singer will play Dylan’s lyrics and musical excerpts on his guitar as a means to ask Sussman questions.
