The Scranton Shakespeare Festival opens with a night of one-act one-woman/man shows. "Cheeks" is part swan song, part being attacked by a swan. By Philadelphia-based theatre-maker Lee Minora, this one-act slices open the roles for women in the arts using scalpel sharp wit, scorching parody and twisting narrative, and asks “Do you like me?” and then “Do I give a shit?” "Skin of the Teeth" is about a boy. Nicholas wants to feel fear. People can tell that something is missing in him. After a violent accident he accepts the help of charming stranger, Mr Bacon, who takes him under his wing, out of his small seaside town and into an enchanting and perilous world.
