|the claque| announced their Season Kick-Off Party, the annual Some Like it Cold summer soup competition, will return for the fourth year in a row to Huckleberry Bar (588 Grand Street in Williamsburg) on Sunday, August 17th at 5pm. This is sure to be a stellar season of collaborations with new artists, expanded programming and we'll be celebrating in delicious style. This season is full of hotly anticipated work and amazing talent and |the claque| welcomes y'all there to kick it off right!

One of |the claque|'s fundraising competitions, Some Like it Cold has been drawing in the coolest chefs in the city for three years now, and the fourth year will be bigger and better than ever. Escape the heat and enter an oasis of refreshing cold soups created by our chef contestants.

The possibilities are endless -- from gazpacho to vichyssoise all the way to Chilled Corn Soup with Roasted Corn, Peppers, and Buttermilk, last year's winning soup. Every patron gets to taste all the delicious creations, enjoy a complimentary Ketel One Vodka cocktail by the master mixologists of Huckleberry, and then vote for their favorite concoction. Aside from vying for the title of coolest soup in the city, the chefs face off for the fabulous prizes awarded to first, second, and third place.

All proceeds go toward |the claque|, your favorite arts and performance conglomerate.

Tickets are available for $10 in advance, or $15 at the door. Advanced tickets can be purchased at somelikeitcold.bpt.me. We're still accepting competitors, be they home-spun or professionally trained, through August 10th. E-mail coldsoup@theclaque.org for more details on competing.
