York Theatre Names Wendy Hall and Stephanie Alvarado Prugh to Leadership Positions
Wendy Hall was formerly General Manager, and Stephanie Alvarado Prugh was formerly Director of Development.
The York Theatre has revealed two key management promotions to its leadership team: Wendy Hall as Managing Director (formerly General Manager) and Stephanie Alvarado Prugh (formerly Director of Development) as Director of New Works and Development.
Wendy Hall
Wendy Hall brings decades of producing, general management, directing, and choreography to the role. As Executive Producer of the New Bedford Festival Theatre, she led productions including Beauty and the Beast, White Christmas, and The Wiz. As a director and choreographer, she has earned multiple BWW Awards, an Elliot Norton Award, and an IRNE Award. Off-Broadway, she served as Company Manager for Pen Pals and co-produced several Sondheim in Concert performances at the Laurie Beechman Theatre. As an Off-Broadway League member and Boston Conservatory alumna, Hall embodies a longstanding commitment to developing new musicals and preserving overlooked ones.
Stephanie Alvarado Prugh
Stephanie Alvarado Prugh is a producer and dramaturg whose work spans new musical development and classical revivals. Since 2022, she has been the artistic producer of the Lyrics and Lyricists series at the 92nd Street Y, New York. Her dramaturgical credits include the award-winning revised The Unsinkable Molly Brown (Transport Group/The Muny/Denver Center, Off-Broadway Alliance Award for Best Revival) and Renascence (Transport Group, Off-Broadway Alliance Award for Best Musical). Regional credits include productions at La Jolla Playhouse and Denver Center Theatre Company. Stephanie holds a PhD in Theatre from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
