Two men, two knives, one laptop. Back at the American Theatre of Actors by popular demand, Theft tells the story of Rich (Michael Bordwell), an emotionally turbulent man whose apartment is broken into in the middle of the night by an amateur burglar (James Harris, Jr.).

Finding Rich's apartment lacking in material wealth, he sets his eyes on the only thing of value- a laptop. Rich, faced with losing his most prized possession, strikes a deal: the burglar can either wait around 30 minutes for the laptop to be backed up, or they can fight to the death for it. Faced with the possibility of deadly violence, he agrees. But what is so important on the laptop that Rich is willing to die, or kill, for it?
