The Shortened Attention Span One Act Horror Festival will begin at The Players Loft, 115 MacDougal Street in Greenwich Village, on October 11 and continue through October 28. The festival will present between 15-20 plays running 5-30 minutes each over three weekends this fall.  Each week the audience will select a favorite with the three winning short horror plays to be presented in the 199 seat Players Theatre on Halloween.

In June The Players Theatre produced the first Shortened Attention Span Festival, presenting 20 plays under 20 minutes by 18 different authors.   Producers Carlo Rivieccio and Christy Benanti presented 4 different programs during the 4 week Festival.

Submissions are now being accepted for The Shortened Attention Span Horror Festival.  Plays must be no more than 30 pages with either a horror or Halloween theme.   There is a $10 fee for submission.  Authors of plays accepted for presentation during the festival will be notified by August 18th.  Submission should be sent to:

The performance schedule for the October 11-28 festival is Thursdays through Saturday at 8 PM with matinees Sundays at 3 PM.  $18 tickets will be available in September through www.theatermania.com.
