LIFE BRIEF & GLORIOUS, a new play by Bryn Manion, gives us a glimpse into the lives of the Trojan royal family before the fall of Troy. Trapped within the impenetrable city walls, with the Greek army on their shores, they must rely on underground radio, social media, and a foreign news team to get their message out to the wider world.
When the young Prince Troilus is found murdered in a Temple to Apollo and a video of the warrior Achilles goes viral, the royal family must act to try to save their lives and their city.
Commissioned by The New Collectives as a companion piece to the final show in their 2017 season, THE TROJAN WOMEN, this world premiere dark comedy examines how our private and public images collide in the face of prophesy and war.
