'A Watch', a short play by Youlim Nam will be born onto the stage as part of NY Summer Theatre Festival 2018.

Nam's brand new piece reflects upon the life of young New Yorkers - individuals who leave their homes and roots to pursue their dreams- often thrusting them into survival mode and leaving them stuck running in a hamster wheel. A familiar story for most New Yorkers, the experience "will heal your soul" according to director Kotoba Dan.

Dan, born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, and Nam hailing from Seoul, Korea are joined by Canadian bred Helen Kashap to share the story. They are now hoping to rejuvenate New Yorkers who are bogged down and struggling to survive.

On a beautiful, but a brutally hot day, Shannon summons April to a small park along the Brooklyn waterfront. The two girls, more sister than friends, gnaw, clamor, and cry their way through a night against the backdrop of Manhattan skyline.

Starring Helen Kashap and Youlim Nam(youlimnam.com) with direction by Kotoba Dan. Showing Sept 20th, 21st at 6:15pm and 23rd at 8:30 PM at Hudson Guild Theatre in Chelsea. The ticket link is https://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/3510464
