Heights Players to Open Season with AND THEN THERE WERE NONE

In celebrating its "diamond anniversary" this season, the Heights Players tips its hat to the legacy of countless sparkling productions over the course of 60 seasons. It's a season that celebrates theater and celebrates the Heights Players community. And it begins with one of the greatest murder mysteries written by Dame Agatha Christie, And Then There Were None. This timeless classic murder mystery is on stage in The John Bourne Theater September 11-27.
Ten strangers are trapped on an island off the coast of Devon. One by one they are accused of murder; one by one they start to die. Throughout this mystery comedy, statuettes of little soldier boys on the mantel disappear one by one as those in the house succumb to a diabolical avenger. A nursery rhyme tells how each of the ten "soldiers" meets his death until there were none. Eight guests who have never met each other or their host and hostess are lured to and marooned on Soldier Island. A mysterious voice accuses each of having gotten away with murder.
And Then There Were None was previously titled and performed as Ten Little Indians and Dame Agatha Christie considered it her "best piece of craftsmanship." She also considered it to be the play which formally started her career as a playwright. Join the Heights Players as it celebrates the opening of its 60th season for And Then There Were None on September 11, 12, 18, 19, 25 and 26 at 8 p.m. and September 13, 20 and 27 at 2 p.m. at The John Bourne Theatre at the Heights Players, 26 Willow Place between Joralemon and State Streets.
