On Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at the Duplex Cabaret Theater, 61 Christopher Street at Seventh Ave. South in NYC at 9:30pm Dutch singer Sabina Petra makes her NYC cabaret debut, Home/Thuis, an exploration of the concept of being at home from a Dutch singer seeking her home in the U.S., accompanied by an American pianist seeking his home in France.
 
Sabina was born in Zandaam in the Netherlands in 1981. She has lived in Los Angeles, Huntsville Alabama, London, and New York. She is schooled at Conservatoire Alkmaar in Holland and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC. In addition to having acted in several musicals, she has also directed four and written one.
 
The music will range from musical theater songs by Jason Robert Brown, Stephen Sondheim, Maury Yeston, Ahrens & Flaherty, Maltby & Shire to pop songs by Phil Collins, Quincy Jones, Vonda Shepard, Theo Nijland, a popular Dutch songwriter, and two songs she has written herself.
