David Harbour, Sue Jean Kim, Ciaran Hinds, And Molly Bernard Set For Playing On Air's Winter/Spring 2019

Announced today, Playing on Air's Winter/Spring 2019 season will include work by playwrights Gracie Gardner and Chiara Atik. The season will also include the April release of the highly-anticipated live recording of David Auburn's AN UPSET, starring David Harbour (Netflix's "Stranger Things," Hellboy) and Steven Boyer (Hand To God, NBC's "Trial & Error") and the re-release of Lynn Nottage's POOF! with Audra McDonald, Tonya Pinkins, and Keith Randolph Smith.

Beginning this month, the theater podcast will feature short plays like 52ND STREET TO BOWERY TO COBBLE HILL, IN BROOKLYN by Chiara Atik and MEDAL OF HONOR: CLARENCE SASSER, written and performed by Avatar's Stephen Lang. Each episode pairs performances with candid in-studio interviews by cast members like Ciaran Hinds (HBO's "Game of Thrones"), Molly Bernard ("Younger," "Transparent"), and Sue Jean Kim (Public Theater's Office Hour). In May, the season concludes with the world premiere of HATE BABY by Gracie Gardner, the inaugural winner of the James Stevenson Prize for Comedic Short Plays, performed by Emily Bergl (The Ferryman, "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel") and April Matthis (Measure for Measure at the Public)

On public radio and podcast, Playing on Air is the home of America's greatest playwrights, actors, and directors - a new way to experience theater. Each short audio play features electric performances and intimate conversations with stars from stage & screen. Recent episodes have featured Timothée Chalamet, Zoe Kazan, Adam Driver, Denis O'Hare, John Leguizamo and Bobby Cannavale in plays by David Ives, Donald Margulies, Julia Cho, and David Lindsay-Abaire.
