ARTISTIC NEW DIRECTIONS Announces Upcoming Season

In 2017, ARTISTIC NEW DIRECTIONS will present a night of shorts, a powerhouse piece about a radical lawyer, and one of the most unique theatrical events - ever. The production will play February 1-12, 2017, at Theatre 54, 244 West 54th Street, NYC.

By exploring and expanding the possibilities of improvisation as a performing skill and as a means of creating scripted works, AND - through a community of theatre artists and their collaborators - develops and presents new theatrical works in fully staged productions that ignite the theatergoer's mind, heart and imagination; productions that strike out in artistic new directions.

WITHOUT A NET: The company's flagship presentation involves five separate companies rehearsing the same original play in five separate locations, ... and then, for each performance, one actor from each company goes on. Basically, 25 premieres ... of the same play ... with different actors; performing without a net. Seriously.
