Pea Dinneen: Raising Her Voice will begin performances on June 16, 2026, for a limited run through June 28, 2026, in Irish Rep’s W. Scott McLucas Studio Theatre.
Irish Repertory Theatre will present the U.S. Premiere of Pea Dinneen: Raising Her Voice, written and performed by Pea Dinneen and directed by John King. Winner of the 2025 Dublin Fringe Festival Best Production Award, Pea Dinneen: Raising Her Voice will begin performances on June 16, 2026, for a limited run through June 28, 2026, in Irish Rep’s W. Scott McLucas Studio Theatre.
How do you raise a voice that's been drowned out? How do you get a whole country—Ireland—to hear it? You sing louder with '90s pop bangers and original songs adapted to fit a playful, subversive personal narrative about transgender liberation in the face of systemic oppression. OBVIOUSLY.
Join Dublin-born niche cabaret legend Pea Dinneen for a trans fantasia, where she'll sing her way through a powerful coming-of-age story about herself, her country, and her voice. Pea delivers a crash course in modern Irish pop culture. This is a show about a nation, wrapped up in a vast, ongoing vanity project by a disenfranchised millennial hag.
Pea Dinneen: Raising Her Voice will feature piano, original music, and musical direction by Paul Prior, set and costume design by Ellen Kirk, lighting design by John Gunning, and movement direction by Niamh McGowan. Anika Kidd is the Production Stage Manager.
The performance schedule for Pea Dinneen: Raising Her Voice is as follows: Wednesdays at 2pm & 7pm; Thursdays at 7pm; Fridays at 7pm; Saturdays at 2pm & 7pm; Sundays at 3pm. There will be an additional performance on Tuesday June 16 at 7pm.
Tickets to Pea Dinneen: Raising Her Voice begin at $60 and are on sale now for Irish Rep members. Tickets will go on sale to the public on Tuesday May 12 at 1PM ET.
