Rabbit Hole Theatricks, Inc. Presents STORMY WEATHER at RAVE Theater Festival

Stormy Weather, a rollicking gay farce, has been chosen to be part of Tony Award-winning Broadway Producer Ken Davenport's new RAVE Theater Festival. After hundreds of submissions only 20 plays were selected for the inaugural RAVE season and Stormy Weather was chosen to be a part of this elite collection of works.

Jacob Demlow, a theatre director from Atlanta who recently moved to the Big Apple, is making his New York directing debut with Stormy Weather. Before moving to New York, he served as the Founding Assistant Artistic Director at Out Front Theatre Company, Atlanta's premiere LGBTQIA Theatre. Demlow currently serves as Kenny Leon's personal assistant on such productions as--Broadway: Children of a Lesser God and American Son; Off-Broadway: Much Ado About Nothing (The Public).

Michael Mackenzie Wills, the playwright behind Stormy Weather, is the Artistic Director of Rabbit Hole Theatricks, Inc. Over the years he has worked with several cutting-edge icons such as Penn & Teller, Blue Man Group, MTV Networks, James Gandolfini, and Liev Schreiber. His award-winning show Operation Opera has played in various venues in New York City such as Lincoln Center, Symphony Space, and The National Opera Center, as well as the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Scotland.

Stormy Weather opens to a ferocious storm raging outside the Fire Island beach house of Tim Bailey, a 40-year-old gay man having a mid-life crisis. He's lost his job, his husband started divorce proceedings, and his adopted daughter will soon leave the nest. When a yacht gets struck by lightning and everyone is washed overboard a night of surprise visitors begins as each nearly drowned passenger, which includes Tim's ex-boss and soon to be ex-husband, makes their way to Tim's front door. As calamity ensues, Tim is forced to face his demons and fight to regain control of his life in this modern spin on the classic bedroom farce genre.

What else would eight gay men trapped in a beach house on Fire Island do during a hurricane except--all change partners and dance.
