PHOTO FLASH: Dr. Ruth Analyses The Hilarious Whodunit SHEAR MADNESS

America's favorite psychologist and sex therapist, Dr. Ruth Westheimer, knows a thing or two about madness, so naturally she paid a visit Paul Portner's Off-Broadway hit, Shear Madness.

Born in Germany and trained in Sorbonne, the Manhattan resident first gained pop culture fame in 1980 as the host of NBC Radio's "Sexually Speaking," where callers asked advice about their most intimate problems. With her peppy spirit and frank way of putting things, Dr. Ruth soon became a widely-recognized cultural icon.

Directed by Bruce Jordan, SHEAR MADNESS is America's hilarious whodunit where the audience gets to solve the crime. Set in a local hair salon that turns into a wacky murder scene, the play is filled with up-to-the-minute humor and is different every time you see it.

Dr. Ruth takes the chair surrounded by cast members Kate Middleton, Jordan Ahnquist, Jonathan Randell Silver, Tony and Drama Desk Award Winner Cady Huffman, Patrick Noonan and Adam Gerber.

The New York Premiere of the hit comedy whodunit will plays its final performance at New World Stages/Stage 4 (340 West 50th Street), today, July 10th. It will then re-locate to the Davenport Theatre, 354 West 45th Street, beginning July 15th.
