Rattlestick Playwrights TheaterExtends THE ALIENS Thru 5/29

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater announced today that its critically-acclaimed production of The Aliens, by Annie Baker, will play five (5) additional performances through Saturday, May 29th. Performances began on Wednesday, April 14th, 2010 and the show officially opened on Thursday, April 22nd.

Originally scheduled to run through May 23rd, the showwill now play through Saturday, May 29, 2010. In The Aliens, two angry young men sit outside a Vermont coffee shop and discuss music andBukowski. When a lonely high school student arrives on the scene, they decide to teach himeverything they know. A play with music and shrooms.Directed by Sam Gold, the cast of The Aliens includes Michael Chernus (Essential Self-Defense, American Sligo), Dane DeHaan (End Days, Sixty Miles to Silver Lake) and Erin Gann (First Day,Percussionist).The creative team includes Andrew Lieberman (sets), Bobby Tilley (costumes), TylerMicoleau (lights), Bart Fasbender (sound), and Eugenia Furneaux-Arends (props). NicoleBouclier is Production Stage Manager and Rebecca Spinac is Assistant Stage Manager.The Aliens performance schedule is: Monday at 8pm; Wednesday - Saturday at 8pm; Sunday at3pm. The final performance will be on Saturday, May 29th.
