"So banks the fate at the door," to Beethoven once have said to explain the theme from the first beat of its 5. Symphony. These are some of the most famous which have been composed, and is often used to give the definition of classical music. With a contemporary fanfare for brass players, portrayed ironic over just this fateful theme of the young Danish composer Jesper Koch. On a somewhat more cheerfully show included the fate of the thread up in the Overture to the Carl Nielsen's Maskarade opera. Sibelius Valse Triste, melancholy with their look back at a long life, is followed by the thundering the Overture to the Opera twist of fate the power of value. So goes the fate theme from Beethoven's 5th the Symphony throughout the concert.

Our very own alternating solobratsjist Kjell Åge Stoveland is an emcee and makes sure to tie the fate of the threads further along. We also have the pleasure to introduce a new acquaintance, Danish conductor Maria Sauna. This is a concert for any major thoughts and feelings!

Symphonic Saturday is a concert series with the matinékonserter of shorter duration, and with more accessible music, suitable for families with children and strange konsertgjengere.
