Al Simmons Sounds Crazy Plays 11/7 At The McLean Theater

By: Oct. 28, 2009

Al Simmons Sounds Crazy Saturday, Nov. 7 2 p.m. $14/10 district residents

In Sounds Crazy, Simmons demonstrates, with hilarious results, how the various instruments of a symphony orchestra make music. The principles of sound waves, vibrations, resonance, and pitch are clearly explained as he plays his bizarre homemade versions of stringed, woodwind, brass and percussion instruments. Simmons also teaches children the importance of recycling and re-using and that they, too, can make music out of found items-even stuff that is headed for the landfill.

Workshop: Sounds Crazy with Al Simmons
