SHOW SYNOPSIS Venus in Fur is a funny, mysterious, quasi-erotic drama. Writer/director Thomas Novachek is holding auditions for his new play—an adaptation of the 1870 novel Venus in Furs. In bursts the brash and seemingly unschooled Vanda Jordan, who convinces the writer/director to let her audition. Much to Thomas' surprise, Vanda is amazing and shows astonishing insights into the novel and her character. As the two get caught up in the reading, the balance of power between actress and director shifts. In the end, Vanda reveals herself to be much more than meets the eye. Might she actually the goddess Venus come to right centuries-old wrongs endured by woman? Perhaps.

SEEKING MALE ACTOR – Thomas Novachek: playwright/director, 25 to 40 years old, any ethnicity Intellectual and entitled, this writer/adapter is directing for the first time. During the reading of his play, he doubles for the role of Kushemski, a 19th-century Austrian aristocrat.
