Nationwide Open Call for RACHEL

Nearly Neighbors is conducting a nationwide open call for the role of RACHEL in an upcoming developmental reading of a new two-person chamber musical by Joshua Vranas.

The selected actor will perform opposite Tony Award nominee Jenn Colella (Come From Away, Suffs).

ABOUT THE MUSICAL

Nearly Neighbors is an original two-person musical following two women who live across from one another in Hell’s Kitchen. Over the course of a year, their opposing balconies become the setting for an unexpected relationship as they navigate ambition, grief, loneliness, identity, and what it means to make a home in New York City.

SEEKING

RACHEL: Female-presenting, 20s–30s. A newcomer to New York who has recently sold the wellness startup she built. Smart, ambitious, funny, driven, and accustomed to projecting that she has everything figured out, even when she very much does not.

Strong contemporary musical theatre singer and actor.

We are intentionally conducting an open search for Rachel and strongly encourage submissions from performers who may not have traditional industry access or representation. No agent is necessary to submit.
