About the Show:
To Love and to Perish is a comedic and interactive murder mystery revolving around a
wedding ceremony and reception in the 1980s. Script is all original and largely
improvisational. Characters are big and bold; storyline is fast-paced; and clues and
investigation are well thought-out and audience participatory.

The show is ensemble-oriented and some of the script will be developed throughout the
rehearsal process in a safe, fun, and professional environment. Cast will be comprised of
community adults and youths of varying experience levels, including Artists’
Exchange/Gateways client actors.

Brief Synopsis/Blurb:
You are cordially invited to the wedding of Kimberly Mae Fay-Mancini and James Alan
Anderson…

Set in 1987, To Love and to Perish is a comedic murder mystery where “love and marriage” go
together like a “hearse and carriage.” Be a guest of honor at the union of Kim and Jim,
Cranston’s favorite couple who have weathered a decade of dating.

This March, Kim and Jim will (finally) tie the knot - despite family differences and parental
misgivings, former Mr. Wrongs and Miss Relationships, and feuding friends. Revel in the
celebration and champagne at the reception, but also be watchful for the commiseration and
pain that threaten nuptial bliss.

When one of the wedding party ends up dead, you will help piece together the clues that will
lead to the murderer(s) of the tragic crime. Test your sleuthing skills at this fun, fast-paced
family-friendly wedding who-dun-it.
