Piedmont Players Theatre is holding Youth Auditions for the THE BOXCAR CHILDREN, Tuesday, Sept 27 & Wednesday, Sept 28, 2016. at 4:30pm & 5:30pm. Callbacks will be held on Thursday, Sept 29 at 4:30pm. Performers of all ethnic and racial backgrounds are encouraged to audition. Performers will be ask to cold read from the script.

ABOUT THE SHOW

Generations of young readers have cherished the spirited Depression-era adventures of The Boxcar Children, and now the Alden children’s story comes to life on stage. Orphaned and in danger of being sent to different foster homes, the four siblings run away and make their home in an abandoned railroad boxcar. Pursued by the authorities and a mysterious stranger, the children discover the rewards and perils of life on the run, as well as the joy of keeping their family together.

SARAH CALDER- Kind, social worker that looks out for the children's best interest.

MRS. TRUMAN- generous, kind, wise mother of Samuel Truman, the town doctor.

OFFICER BANNING- small town police officer during The Great Depression.
