The Players Guild of Leonia announces auditions for Cole Porter’s Kiss Me, Kate,
June 18 and 20, at 7:30 p.m. at Civil War Drill Hall Theatre, 130 Grand Avenue, Leonia.
Performance dates: October 18-19, 24-26, 31, November 1-2, 7-9.
For your audition you may sing any song (not in the show) that you wish (bring the sheet music).
Fred Graham—30-50, strong baritone
Lilli Vanessi—30-50, strong mezzo soprano
Lois Lane—20-30, strong mezzo belter
Bill Calhoun—20-30, strong tenor or baritone
Gangster #1—30-50+, comic baritone or tenor
Gangster #2—same, though a bit more reserved
Harrison Howell—50+, non-singing part, engaged to Lilli
Harry Trevor—50+, sings in ensemble (father of Kate & Bianca)
Hattie, any age, good voice, opens show with “Another Op’nin”
Stage manager, male or female, sings in ensemble, possible soloist
Stage doorman—any age, sings in ensemble
Paul—any age, tenor or baritone, featured singer/dancer
Gremio and Hortensio—any age, tenor or baritone, should sing and move well;
Haberdasher, male or female, sings in ensemble
Nathaniel, Gregory, and Philip—any age, sing in ensemble
Ensemble—many opportunities for small song and dance solos
