BROADWAY PALM ANNOUNCES

AUDITIONS FOR 23rd SEASON!

Broadway Palm is holding open auditions for adults and children for their upcoming 23rd Season on Sunday, August 30, 2015. Ages 7 to 17will audition at 1:00 p.m. Ages 18 and up will audition at 3:00 p.m. Auditions are on a first-come, first-served basis. A sign-up sheet will be available at Noon for ages 7 to 17 and at2:30 p.m. for ages 18 and up. No appointments will be taken. The musical productions on the main stage with roles available are A Wonderful Life, Show Boat, Sister Act and Funny Girl. The Off Broadway Palm is casting for the musical Plaid Tidings and the comediesUnnecessary Farce and Who’s Under Where?

Anyone interested in auditioning should bring a current headshot/picture and resume. Those auditioning for a musical need to be prepared to sing 16 bars that best shows off your vocal range. Please bring sheet music in the proper key, an accompanist will be provided (no recorded music is accepted.) Songs should be in the musical theatre genre. After the vocal audition actors/actresses may be asked to attend a dance and/or reading audition. Those auditioning for a comedy need to have a prepared comic monologue for their audition. Please allow yourself enough time to be seen and possibly be called back to read and/or dance.

Broadway Palm and The Off Broadway Palm are professional theatres. Productions require a two-week rehearsal process with rehearsals daily. Anyone interested must be available for the two-week rehearsal process and all performances. Performances are Tuesdaythrough Sunday evenings with selected matinees on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday or Sunday. We will do our best to work around school hours for children. All children’s roles are double cast and will alternate performances. Performance schedules are available at
