Possum Point Players set auditions for fall musical ‘Baby’

Auditions for a fall production of the musical, “Baby,” are scheduled Monday, June 16, and Tuesday, June17; 7 p.m. both evenings. The auditions will be in Possum Hall, 441 Old Laurel Rd., Georgetown.

The light-hearted, sometimes sentimental, comedy follows three couples in three different stages of parenthood-to-be. One wistful and hoping, another unexpectedly expecting and another finding themselves in a baby-way when they thought their nest was on its way to becoming empty. The cast requires seven women and seven men, ages 17 and older. Those auditioning must prepare a vocal piece and bring sheet music or CD.

Dates of performance of “Baby” are Sept. 19, 20, 21, 26, 27 and 28. The show is directed by Kenney Workman. For additional information, call 245-2755.
