West Coast Players will hold auditions for Always a Bridesmaid by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, and Jamie Wooten at 7 pm on Sunday and Monday, February 22nd and 23rd, 2015.

Director Susan Demers will be looking for 6 women for this ensemble comedy.

Auditioners should be prepared with a two-minute comedic monologue. There will also be cold readings from the script. No performers paid.

Production dates are April 17 - May 3, 2015.

Play Synopsis: By the authors who brought you The Dixie Swim Club, The Red Velvet Cake War, and Rex's Exes, this is the rollicking tale of four loyal and determined women who definitely answer the question Just how far are you willing to go to keep a promise to a friend?.

Characters:

Kari AMes-Bissette: late 02s, a kind hearted, spirited Southern charmer.

Libby Ruth Ames: late 40s, hopeless romantic, sweet country woman, plain-spoken and guileless

Sedalia Ellicott: 60s, a gregarious, energetic Virginia hostess and life-force

Monette Gentry late 40s, kinda flashy, kina trasy, Southern-to-the-bone flirt

Charlie Collins: late 40s, tree-hugging Birkenstock-wearing, acerbic Southern free spirit

Deedra Wingate: late 40s, headstrong with a dry wit, no-nonsense, Northern transplant.
