Following the story from the book of Genesis, Joseph, the favorite of the twelve sons, receives an ornate coat from his beloved father. Not too fond of this sign of affection, Joseph’s envious brothers conspire to sell him to be a slave in Egypt. From there, things go from bad to worse for Joseph, but with a bit of divine intervention, he eventually becomes the right-hand man to Pharaoh. Adding quite a bit of flare to this ancient tale, Andrew Llyod Webber's score features a variety of musical styles and periods and provides a sure delight for all audiences.
