The Marblehead School of Ballet, in collaboration with the North Shore Civic Ballet, presents a special in-studio performance to celebrate National Poetry Month on April 26. This event features students from the school's Repertory class performing a variety of dance styles, including excerpts from The Nutcracker and modern pieces choreographed by resident choreographer Ivan Korn. Guest artist Carlos Fittante will contribute with a Balinese dance and a work-in-progress dance piece, while vocalist Molly Grant will perform a medley of songs. The program also includes winners of a poetry contest, who will read their poems inspired by the theme, "Steps to My Soul: How Dance Transforms Me."
