Grammy nominated composer and NEC faculty member Mehmet Ali Sanlikol, a jazz pianist, multi-instrumentalist, singer, and ethnomusicologist from Cyprus and Turkey, performs a faculty recital. He made his Carnegie Hall debut in 2016 premiering his commissioned piece Harabat/The Intoxicated with the American Composers Orchestra. His work has also been heard at Tanglewood's Ozawa Hall and Jordan Hall.
