Matilda the Musical at Fair Lawn Community Center

Aspire Performing Arts Company presents Matilda the Musical, based on Roald Dahl's classic children's book, at the Fair Lawn Community Center May 1–3, 2026. The story follows Matilda Wormwood, a girl with psychokinetic powers who is unloved by her parents but finds an ally in her kind teacher, Miss Honey, while facing the tyrannical headmistress Miss Trunchbull. The production features two alternating casts, with Adalyn Campione and Lillyana D'Orazio sharing the title role, and Matthew Savastano as Trunchbull, alongside a company of young performers ranging in age from 10 to 21. The show is directed by Artistic Director Lisa Beth Vettoso, with musical direction by K. Leigh Weinman and choreography by Melanie Della Peruti.
