Light Opera of New Jersey continues its 26th Season of operetta and musical theatre with a production of Tony award-winning In the Heights. Based on a book by Quiara Alegria Hudes, in this Lin-Manuel Mirandas smash hit musical, the scent of warm coffee hangs in the air of a bodega whose owner hopes, imagines and sings about a better life. The lively score features hip hop, salsa, merengue and soul music.Jeffrey Fiorello directs the production with musical direction by Gonzalo Valencia and choreography by Hector Andres.
