UCPAC Launches Acting Academy
The Union County Performing Arts Center is proud to announce the inaugural semester of the UCPAC Acting Academy, central New Jersey's premier acting academy dedicated to enhancing the quality of arts education to the community's youth, teens and adults through the highest level of theater training.
The semester begins in January and features classes such as The Actor's Foundation, On-Camera Teen Film/TV Acting Technique, Introduction to Voice-over Technique, The Art of Choreography, Stage Combat: Hand-to-Hand Essentials, and Stage Make-up Essentials, taught by experienced professionals from the theater and entertainment fields. "This level of instruction and quality of programming offered at such an accessible location opens up many avenues for aspiring artists in Union County," said Brian Remo, Executive Director of the UCPAC.
The Director of Education of the UCPAC Acting Academy is Jared Kelner, a highly sought after acting coach who has appeared professionally on stage, TV and film. The Acting Academy is sponsored in part by Park Square Luxury Apartments, located in the heart of Rahway's Arts District.
