RAYMIE NIGHTINGALE To Receive World Premiere At StageWorks Theatre
The family musical, based on Kate DiCamillo's novel, is written by Sarah Nelson and Polly Hilton and directed by Brendan Stackhouse
StageWorks Theatre Group will present the world premiere of RAYMIE NIGHTINGALE, a new musical based on the novel by Kate DiCamillo, running May 7 through May 17 at StageWorks at Studio 237.
The musical features music and lyrics by Sarah Nelson, with book and lyrics by Polly Hilton. The production is directed and choreographed by Brendan Stackhouse, with associate direction by Caitlyn Minuto, music direction by Emily Goggin and with Jillian Mauro as production assistant.
The story follows Raymie Clarke, a young girl determined to win a local pageant in hopes of bringing her father back home. Along the way, she forms unexpected friendships with two other contestants, Louisiana Elefante and Beverly Tapinski, as the three navigate loss, ambition, and growing up.
CAST
The cast will include Hannah Stratton as Raymie, Korina Stelzenmueller as Louisiana, and Danielle Nelken as Beverly. The company also features Kari Moloney, Eden Mendez, Annie Locke, and Sky Schrickel, with Rachel Perl and Hannah Smith serving as swings.
TICKET INFORMATION
Tickets are $28 in advance and $31 after May 7. Tickets for children ages 10 and under are $22.
Performances will take place Thursdays, May 7 and 14 at 7:30 p.m.; Fridays, May 8 and 15 at 7:30 p.m.; Saturdays, May 9 and 16 at 7:30 p.m.; and Sundays, May 10 and 17 at 3:00 p.m.
