Luna Stage's 22nd Season features three world premieres and a revival of a lesser known work by Terrence McNally. Season Passes are currently on sale and range from $75 to $105, plus a special $50 Season Pass offer for patrons under 30 years of age. Season Passes can be purchased at lunastage.org, by calling 973-395-5551 or in person Tues.-Fri. 10am-3pm.

The season opens with LINES IN THE DUST, the world premiere of a newly commissioned play by Obie Award-winning writer, Nikkole Salter that examines districting and segregation in today's public school system in New Jersey (October 9 - November 9, 2014). Luna Stage produced the world premiere of Ms. Salter's CARNAVAL in 2013.

The holidays bring the world premiere of TILT THE UNLIT CANDLE, a new play by Ben Clawson about the preparations for the annual Christmas Eve service in a small town at an even smaller church (December 4 - December 21, 2014). A co-production with StrangeDog Theatre.

The season continues with a revival of Terrence McNally's A PERFECT GANESH about two outwardly unremarkable middle-aged women on a quest for meaning in India (January 29 - March 1, 2015) and concludes with the world premiere of TAR BEACH, a new play by Pittsburgh-based playwright Tammy Ryan about three young girls coming of age in New York City on the night of the blackout of the summer of 1977 (April 9 - May 9, 2015).

"Our theatre has a long history of developing new work for the stage so I am thrilled that this season will feature three new plays developed at Luna Stage.", says Luna Artistic Director Cheryl Katz. "We are continuing our commitment to supporting the work of two writers with whom we have had a long history, and presenting our audiences with a brand new voice."

For over two decades, Luna Stage has produced thought-provoking theatre that gives voice to emerging American playwrights and re-examines contemporary and classic plays that speak to our times. As producer, educator and innovator, Luna Stage is committed to collaborating with artists of multiple disciplines and community partners to illuminate the diverse perspectives of society.

Luna Stage, a proud member of Valley Arts, is located at 555 Valley Road, West Orange, NJ 07052. The theatre is handicapped accessible and offers assistive listening devices.
