LOVE LETTERS Comes to Montclair on Valentine's Day
Luna Stage is planning its own special brand of Valentine's Day magic. Artistic Director, Jane Mandel and her husband, actor Frankie R. Faison, are going to share the stage with each other on Saturday, February 14th. for a one-time only performance - a staged reading of A.R. Gurney's Love Letters.
For anyone looking to do something unique on Valentine's Day, this is the perfect event. The evening is designed to celebrate love. There will be music provided by pianist Jim Campodonico, champagne and hors d'oeuvres, as well as the wonderful pleasure of seeing two very special artists, who also happen to be a loving, happily married couple, perform together.
Frankie Faison is best known for his work on the critically acclaimed television series "The Wire" and for his roles in countless movies, among them; Do The Right Thing, Coming to America and the series of Hannibal Lector films. Jane Mandel is an actress, teaching artist and director who founded Luna Stage sixteen years ago and has been the Artistic Director for the Company since its inception.
Love Letters is a two-character play written in the form of letters to each other. It is an engaging and moving theatre piece which tells, through the letters, the story of a lifetime of love, but the story is never trite or predictable.
The show begins at 7PM and tickets are $30.00 each or $50.00 per couple. Bring someoNe You love, or find someone to love when you come!
