Give NJ ENTERTAINMENT for the Holidays

Now that holiday shopping is in full swing, consider the gift of entertainment for your family, friends and co-workers. New Jersey has some of the best theatres and performing arts centers in the metropolitan area. There is an unlimited choice of shows to choose from and many of the theatres have current shows that make a terrific gift. You can also purchase single tickets, gift certificates, or a season's subscription and some of the theatres sell show memorabilia. Check out the web sites and call or stop by the box offices to make your purchases.

Two River Theater (Red Bank) A Very Electric Christmas will be on the Red Bank Stage from December 27th to December 30th. It will be followed by Hurricane Diane and The Merry Wives of Windsor. Visit: http://www.tworivertheater.org/.

NJPAC (Newark) Upcoming performances include Paul Anka, Michael Carbonaro Live, Raiders of the Lost Ark with the NJSO and the Dance Theatre of Harlem: MLK Celebration. Visit: http://www.njpac.org/.

Paper Mill Playhouse (Millburn) The Bodyguard is now onstage through January 1st followed by A Comedy of Tenors, Million Dollar Quartet and Mary Poppins. Visit: https://tickets.papermill.org/.

Crossroads Theatre (New Brunswick) A Black Nativity is being performed on the Crossroads Theatre Stage through December 18th. Upcoming shows include the World Premiere of Sarah Sings a Love Song. Visit: http://www.crossroadstheatrecompany.org/.

McCarter Theatre (Princeton) The holiday classic, A Christmas Carol is now onstage through December 31st. Next up in January is Bedlam: Hamlet and St. Joan. Visit: http://www.mccarter.org/.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey (Madison) "A Child's Christmas in Wales" is being performed through January 1st. The theatre will soon be announcing their 2017 season. Visit: http://www.shakespearenj.org/.

George Street Playhouse (New Brunswick) Daddy Long Legs is on the New Brunswick stage through December 24th followed by American Son and Bad Jews. Visit: https://www.georgestreetplayhouse.org/.

The Growing Stage, The Children's Theatre of New Jersey (Netcong) A Christmas Carol: The Musical is onstage through 12/18 followed by the World Premiere of A Box of Stories. Visit: http://www.growingstage.com/.

New Jersey Repertory Theatre (Long Branch) This year-round theatre is renowned for their world premiere plays. Next up is The Jag followed by Multiple Family Dwelling. Visit: http://www.njrep.org/.

SOPAC (South Orange) Music, dance, comedy, theatre and film as well as children's and family theatre is available at SOPAC.
