Freddie Jackson Leads I'll be Home for Christmas 12/16-18

By:

Grammy- nominated singer FrEddie Jackson is adding actor to his credits. He will be playing the role of Reverend Bolden in the touring production of "I'll Be Home For Christmas" at Newark Symphony Hall (December 16th and 17th) and December 18th at Harlem's Apollo Theater. Also starring is Shirley Murdock, Samson Logan and Lisa Page Brooks.

Like most families, the Bolden clan has its share of issues: the youngest son David is returning home from prison and is trying to get acclimated to his new life as a preacher and find a job in a tough economy. Older brother Josh is constantly harassed by his wife Maxine to take over the church as his father makes plans to retire. His father, Rev. Bolden (FrEddie Jackson) is torn as to which son he should pass his pulpit to while his wife Ethel(Shirley Murdock) is concerned about what his decision will mean for their two sons.

FrEddie Jackson is best known for the hit songs Rock Me Tonight, For Old Time's Sake, Jam Tonight, Do Me Again, and You are My Lady. His debut album Rock Me Tonight stormed the R&B charts in 1985, spending six weeks at number one, and making Jackson an instant sensation on urban contemporary radio.

MR. Jackson currently on the "Men of Soul Tour" continues as a solo artist to play to sold-out houses in the United States and around the world. In addition to performing, he is the author of a cookbook entitled "Tasty Love" and continues to lend his voice to support numerous charitable organizations.
