Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre, professional Theatre in Residence at the Oakes Center in Summit, is presenting the New Jersey premiere of Julia Cho's Off-Broadway hit, The Language Archive. This comedy of the heart explores the mysterious language of love, which often fails when it is needed most. The Language Archive plays January 25 through February 10, with talkbacks following the January 27 and February 3 matinees.

The January 27 talkback will feature a conversation with the cast and director of the play, and will follow the Senior Sunday matinee, where all senior tickets are $15 when purchased in advance. Following the February 3 matinee, the panel will also include a special guest, therapist Sandra Dresdner. Based in Summit, she has been working in private practice for over thirty years with individuals, couples and families. Dresdner will add a professional perspective to the discussion of communication as it relates to the relationships in the play, and in the lives of audience members.

Sandra Dresdner is a graduate of University of Michigan, and Columbia University School of Social Work and completed a post graduate internship at the Philadelphia Child Guidance Clinic. Before going into private practice in 1980, Dresdner worked with neuro-psychiatric patients at the Veterans Administration, the Jewish Guild for the Blind, and the out-patient clinic at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in NY. After taking a few years off to start a family, she went back to work in the Hospice/Home Care at Overlook Hospital. Dresdner then trained at the New Jersey center for Family Studies.

The Language Archive, which was called "A quirky but ravishingly well-written piece that is smart, funny, deep and tender" by the OC Weekly, will run at Dreamcatcher from Friday, January 25 through Sunday, February 10. Performances are Friday and Saturday nights at 8:00 p.m., and Sundays at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $30 for adults and $25 for seniors and students, with special rates for subscribers and groups. Purchase tickets online at www.dreamcatcherrep.org or by calling Brown Paper Tickets at 1-800-838-3006. Seniors pay only $15 on advance purchases only on Senior Sunday, the January 27 matinee.

Parking is available in the lot behind the theatre on Ashwood Avenue and at the Summit Recreation Center on Morris Avenue. The facility is wheelchair accessible.
