BergenPAC Presents Patti LuPone

Patti LuPone: Don't Monkey with Broadway comes to bergenPAC Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 8 p.m. Tickets are available at www.ticketmaster.com or by calling bergenPAC's Box Office at (201) 227-1030. The performance will feature the Chamber Chorus from the Performing Arts School at bergenPAC.

Patti LuPone: Don't Monkey With Broadway

In Don't Monkey with Broadway, two-time Tony Award winner Patti LuPone explores how her life-long love affair with Broadway began and her concern for what the Great White Way is becoming today, through indelible interpretations of classic Broadway show tunes by the likes of Richard Rodgers, Lorenz Hart, Jule Styne, Stephen Schwartz, Charles Strouse, Leonard Bernstein, Stephen Sondheim, Cole Porter and Irving Berlin. The show was conceived and directed by Scott Wittman with musical direction by Joseph Thalken.

LuPone's recent stage appearances include Douglas Carter Beane's Shows For Days at Lincoln Center Theater, her debut with the New York City Ballet as Anna 1 in their new production of The Seven Deadly Sins, Joanne in the New York Philharmonic's production of Company, David Mamet's The Anarchist, and Lincoln Center Theater's production of the musical Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown

A graduate of the first class of the Drama Division of New York's Juilliard School and a founding member of John Houseman's The Acting Company in which she toured the country for four years, her New York credits list is long and decorated. She's also appeared in several films and TV shows, including City by the Sea, Driving Miss Daisy, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Girls, American Horror Story: Coven,Glee, 30 Rock and Ugly Betty.
