On Saturday, November 11th, 2017 between 12pm and 4pm, the Acoustic Singer/Songwriter Series will be hosting a benefit concert at the Debonair Music Hall in Teaneck, New Jersey, to raise money and awareness for Operation Chillout.

For a suggested donation at the door, you can hear eight of NJ's finest singer/songwriters sharing their songs and stories. Scheduled to appear are: Matt Colin, Josh Lafargue, Matty Z, Carolyn Messina, ROSTAFA, Marc Delgado, Tony Destefano, and Rick Barth.

The benefit will help fund OPERATION CHILLOUT's Rapid Response Team, the homeless veterans outreach and rescue program to care for homeless veterans in New Jersey. The event is also focused on raising awareness of the plight of thousands of homeless veterans living in New Jersey.

The Acoustic Singer/Songwriter Series is a local group organized by singer/songwriter Rick Barth in 2016 which promotes original music by NJ indie singer/songwriters. The rotating lineup plays at several venues throughout the area (such as The Stanhope House in Stanhope, Crossroads in Garwood, 10th Street Live in Kenilworth, and Sarah Street Grill in Stroudsburg, PA). The goal of the series is to promote local music and foster a community among NJ's amazing musicians. For more information on the series, visit www.rickbarthnj.com.

OPERATION CHILLOUT is an all-volunteer outreach dedicated to ending the crisis of homelessness for veterans, men and women throughout New Jersey and parts of NE Pennsylvania and now very recently in Rhode Island. We particularly seek out veterans of our military services, many of whom, because of the traumas they endured in service to our nation, face acute Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and chronic illnesses of body, mind and spirit, and are represented among the highest percentage of the homeless in the USA. Our Rapid Response Rescue Team is directly responsible for saving the lives of many of our homeless heroes. The mission of the Rapid Response Team is to search for, find, shelter, feed, clothe and transport homeless veterans to essential required services such as VA Medical Center Emergency, Specialty Clinic and Mental Health Care as needed at the time of rescue. We advocate with other partner agencies to get our veterans into more permanent housing, follow up medical and mental health care and a better life and future.
