A Rockin’ Holiday Celebration in Rahway to Feature Bobby Rydell & More
Your holidays will be rockin' as five of your all time favorite rock 'n roll groups of the 60s take the stage at the Union County Performing Arts Center in Rahway on December 9th for A Rockin' Holiday Celebration!
Headlining is former teen idol Bobby Rydell, who will perform his string of hits including Kissin' Time, Wild One and Volare. Philadelphia born Rydell ruled rock and roll in the 1960s with 34 Top 40 hits and went on to star in the movie Bye Bye Birdie, the stage production of West Side Story and was a regular on many TV shows including American Bandstand. Now, more than fifty years later, Bobby Rydell continues to be an overwhelming concert success.
The Tokens hit the charts with "Tonight I Fell in Love", "Portrait of My Love" and "The Lion Sleeps Tonight". The Tokens style and sound is elegantly defined by Jay Siegel whose tenor lead and trademark falsetto have characterized their music.
Also on the bill are: The Chantels ("He's Gone", "Maybe", "Every Night (I Pray)"), The Emotions ("Echo", "The Diary") and Bobby Lewis ("Tossin' and Turnin').
