Cue Zero Theatre Company kicks off its 2026 main stage season with the thrilling When The Rain Stops Falling. This examination of fate, responsibility, and the weight of personal history runs February 27th through March 1st. Travel across continents and generations—from London to rural Australia, from the 1950s to the faintly apocalyptic 2030s—as the Law and York families uncover long-buried secrets that shape their lives in unseen ways. When The Rain Stops Falling is a haunting, poetic exploration of how betrayal, identity, and inherited trauma ripple through time, asking whether we can ever truly escape the legacies of our past. Director Joshua Benham says of the show, “Everyone can think of that relationship that went wrong - be it a friend, a family member, or a significant other. Sometimes it was our fault, sometimes it was because of someone else’s actions, and sometimes we never truly know what went wrong. WHEN THE RAIN STOPS FALLING asks “how did we come to this?” and explores the actions that can build or break relationships. What really sets this show apart is how every character and action can be traced over the span of years. These characters are the sum of everything that came before them and we see in real time the effects of the invisible threads that connect them all. Secrets, conflict, mistakes, and even coincidence all play a part in the generational cycles these characters go through. The key to this show is its relatability and I hope that everyone in the audience will be able to see a part of their own lived experience in the characters.” Production contains themes and actions related to death, mentions of sexual abuse and suicide, profanity, and sexual language. Viewer discretion is advised. More information can be made available upon request. WHEN THE RAIN STOPS FALLING is presented by special arrangement with Broadway Licensing, LLC, servicing the Dramatists Play Service collection. www.dramatists.com When the Rain Stops Falling runs February 27th through March 1st at Arts Academy of New Hampshire - 19 Keewaydin Drive, #4, Salem.
